Colloquial Sayings

Tonya Holloway led an exciting meeting full of "holy cow!" information with a theme centered on the background and meaning of common phrases, like "dead ringer" and "upper crust."

We started off with one guest, who immediately transitioned to a new member, and shortly thereafter gave his first speech. Now that's acting fast! Here is our newest member Stephen Col being inducted by president Art Testani:

Table Topics Master Aaron Sanchez queried Tenly Connor, Jim Burlison, and Margarate Stevens, with Jim being voted Best Table Topics Speaker:




Stephen Col led off the prepared speeches with his Icebreaker We Met In Vegas. He was voted Most Improved Speaker and tied for Best Speaker which, together with his "first timer" ribbon made for a club record number of ribbons in a single meeting (subject to verification by club historian Carl Thormeyer):

Fred Sadler gave the module Evaluate to Motivate from the Successful Club Series and tied for Best Speaker:
