Tour de France!

First time TMoD (Toastmaster of the Day) Craig Gabriellini ran today's meeting like a seasoned veteran. With 17 members and 2 guests, Craig's theme of the Tour de France was timely since that prestigious event was recently completed.

Tonya Holloway won best Table Topics speaker for her reasons why Prince would be the ideal tandem bicycle partner. Kudos to newer members Nick H and Cate A for their responses as well.

KJ Woods led off the speeches with a moving #2 speech Why Disarmament? He was voted Most Improved speaker.

KJ was evaluated by Carl Thormeyer.

Next, Jim Burlison gave three inspiring examples of How to Make the Best of a Bad Situation in his #5 speech, for which Jim was voted Best Speaker.

Jim was evaluated by Natalie Laudier.

Our newset member, Juliette Ferguson gave an inspiring Icebreaker entitled One, One, One that extolled the virtues of being a volunteer:

Juliette was evaluated by Arnie Buss, who was selected as Best Evaluator by GE Katherine Daniels-Kurz.

President Art Testani reported that all club officers attended officers training at MIIS on August 1, 2009. A club officers meeting was held immediately after the August 7 meeting.
